Here Are The Women Who Won Big At The Future Africa Awards 2017


The 12th edition of The Future Awards 2017 held December 9, 2017, at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.

With the mandate to celebrate and accelerate innovation among young Nigerians aged 18 – 31, TFAA acknowledges inspiring young people making a difference through social enterprise, social good, and creativity.

The hosts for the night were Adekunle Gold and Mimi Onalaja and, the keynote speech was given by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Celebrities Outfits Which Stood Out At The Future Africa Awards 2017

1. THE FUTURE AWARDS AFRICA PRIZE FOR AGRICULTURE – Winner: (Adetola Adeleke 31)

Tola is known and respected for beginning the Green Fairy Farms in Epe in response to the dearth of technologically savvy farming practices and profitable agriculture in the Epe region.

This was a very innovative act and we are glad that her hard work has been noticed and is being compensated.

2. THE FUTURE AWARDS AFRICA PRIZE FOR BEAUTY – Winner: (Anita ‘Brows’ Adetoye 26)

Ace makeup artist and owner of Anitabrows makeup studio is one very skillful entrepreneur. She was able to make a name for herself in the beauty industry barely 5 years after her debut.

It is noteworthy that today, her efforts have been noticed and she is being rewarded for it.

3. THE FUTURE AWARDS AFRICA PRIZE FOR FASHION AND DESIGN – Winner: (Bisola ‘Ladybiba’ Adeniyi 25)

 

As a second generation designer introduced to the art by an Aunt, Lady Biba first of all started making clothes to fill a niche; the struggle to find work appropriate clothing.

She has styled celebrities such Omotola Jalade, Ares Ugwu, Ozinna Anumudu, Tara Durotoye among many others.


4. THE FUTURE AWARDS AFRICA PRIZE FOR ON AIR PERSONALITY -Winner: (Nancy Isime 25)

Nancy Isime has made a name for herself as Hip TV’s hit show “Trending” most lovely host. On that show, she has managed to display her creativeness and talent for the media.

5. THE FUTURE AWARDS AFRICA PRIZE FOR BUSINESS -Winner: (Bisola Borha 31)

Amazing entrepreneur Bisola is known widely by her business name Bisolatrendybee. She is one event planner who never jokes with her job and takes each task on with the mindset of doing a perfect job.

Recently, she was praised worldwide for the spectacular wedding planning which she did for Newly wed couple, Adesua Etomi and Bankole Wellington.

6. THE EDWIN GEORGE PRIZE FOR PHOTOGRAPHY – Winner: (Yagazie Eguare 30)

Ever since she started photography professionally, documenting weddings as a Wedding documentary and portrait photographer in 2013, she has grown exponentially, photographing 100 weddings in 200 plus weeks and rebranding to better suit her new image as an in-demand photographer.

It is remarkable that her hard work is being compensated and we are glad about this.

7. THE FUTURE AWARDS AFRICA PRIZE FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICE (Olamide Bada (29)

Under this brilliant lady, Hellofood was bought and consolidated food retailer by Jumia Food, and she ensured that the brand grew a vibrant digital audience while improving on service and delivery times at the same time.

Bada is also respected for the excellent way in which she planned and organized the Jumia’s 2015 Black Friday giveaway, setting the tone for future Black friday events.

8. THE FUTURE AWARDS AFRICA PRIZE IN PUBLIC SERVICE -Winner: Dada Olabisi Mary 29)

As a nurse handling HIV patients, Dada’s job puts her in contact with hundreds of HIV infected patients every day as well as women in various states of pregnancy, yet, she stays on, preserves and yearns to make lives better.

What other act can be worthy of recognition or deserves to win prestigious awards?
