
This bread pizza recipe provides a simple, easy, and budget-friendly alternative to traditional pizza, taking only about 10–15 minutes to prepare.
Pizza was first invented in Naples, Italy, as a fast, affordable, tasty meal for working-class Neapolitans on the go. However, pizza actually didn’t gain mass appeal until the 1940s, when immigrating Italians brought their classic slices to the United States.
Pizza is now a popular food enjoyed and eaten in many parts of the world. To mark World Pizza Day, here is a simple recipe on how to make bread pizza.
Ingredients
- 6 bread slices
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup corn kernels
- 1/2 cup cherry or grape tomatoes
- 1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 tsp sesame and flax seeds, to sprinkle on top
- 1 tsp dry oregano
- 5-6 fresh basil leaves, chopped

Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Slice the mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. Arrange bread slices on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
2. Spread tomato sauce on one side of each slice of bread. Sprinkle dry oregano.
3. Add mozzarella cheese and tomato slices.
4. Add corn kernels and sprinkle sesame and flax seeds on top.
5. Bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese melts.
6. Add fresh basil and serve immediately.
