‘Her Death Is Saddening But She Is In A Better Place’ -Pastor Adeboye Speaks On Ibidun Ighodalo’s Death

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has reacted to the death of Ibidun Ighodalo.

Adeboye while reacting to the news on Wednesday via his Facebook page said the news was saddening.

“Hearing the news of Ibidunni Ighodalo’s demise was really saddening but I know that she is in a better place right now. I pray that the Almighty himself will comfort the family of Pastor Ituah Ighodalo in Jesus name,” he wrote.

Ibidunni died on Sunday of suspected cardiac arrest while in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, where she had gone to work. Her burial is slated for Saturday, June 20.

Adeboye had sacked her husband, Ituah in 2009 over his re-marriage to Ibidun.

RCCG does not support remarriage, except when one’s spouse is deceased.

Ituah was Head pastor of Christ Church Parish, Gbagada before his sack. This led him to start his own church, Trinity House.

Previously married to Lucy-Ann Summer who he met abroad, the couple went their separate ways over their inability to have a child.

They had been divorced for 10 years before he decided to give love a chance again.
