One Unable To Get Pregnant Again, The Other Paralysed: Sad Story Of How The Error By A Hospital In Belgium Has Changed the Lives Of These 2 Nigerians


This is the heartbreaking story of how the lives of two Nigerian women, Ajima and Susan Ogbole have changed forever.

In an exclusive report by Foundation For Investigative Journalism, the negligence of a hospital in Belgium is brought to the fore.

It all started when Ajima Ogbole was diagnosed with uterine fibroids in 2017.

This led to her undergoing surgery where about 13 fibroids were removed.

In the process, however, her cervix was amputated during the surgery marking the beginning of her woes.

She did not know the complexity of her situation when the doctor informed her that her cervix could not be found.

After a lot of back and forth, she was told she could never get pregnant again.


Her sister-in-law, Susan Ogbole however stepped in to act as a surrogate.

That singular act has however left the mother of two paralysed.
