Danai Gurira Becomes UN Goodwill Women Ambassador

Black Panther star Danai Gurira has garnered quite a number of amazing recognitions after the release of the record-breaking movie.

The Wakandan general has been appointed as the new UN Women Goodwill Ambassador at the Global Citizen Festival.

The festival, which was held in South Africa to honour Nelson Mandela, featured several stars like Beyoncé, Tiwa Savage, and several others.

The award-winning actor, playwright, and activist joins a list that presently includes Nicole Kidman, Emma Watson, Anne Hathaway, and Marta Vieira da Silva.
