Not many people will take likely to being mocked for how they look but this traffic reporter is all about positive vibes as she responds to an internet user who picked on her because of her looks.
Demetria Obilor became the object of a Facebook User’s ridicule barely two weeks after resuming her new role as a traffic reporter for a Dallas TV station.

The Facebook User who happens to be one of the station’s viewers shared a photo of Demetria saying she looked ridiculous . ” She’s a 16/18 woman in a size 6 dress and looks ridiculous,” the user posted, adding that she’ll no longer watch the news channel.
Her derogatory remark later went viral after a Twitter user shared a screenshot of the statement with him and popular artist, Chance the Rapper taking a stand against it.

Speaking with NBC news, she said,” I’m not a 16/18, but even if I was, for you to try to call out my size like that to hurt me or discriminate against me , I’m not for that.”
She added, ” When you get older you’re in the news, people warn you that,’Hey you’re going to be under a harsh lens. People are going to critique you, people are going to say mean things to you.”
She said its not about her unhurt feelings but about what is acceptable in the society and how people in the media make things right. With her positive outlook on the issue, more people have taken a stand with her and we don’t think the outcome could have been any better.
