Steps

1. Remove your old polish with a nail polish remover. This step is very necessary for having a proper pedicure. Use acetone polish remover; it cleans the nail properly.

2. Clip/cut your nails with a nail cutter or clipper. Make sure you cut across so you don’t injure yourself in the process. File your nails with a nail file afterward.

3. Fill a small bathtub with warm water, and soak your feet in the warm water. Fill a small tub, bowl, or basin with warm water, add some bubble bath and Epsom salts, then sit back and relax for 15-20 minutes. To enhance your home pedicure experience, consider adding smooth pebbles to provide a gentle massage for your feet.

4. Once your feet are dry, massage a little cuticle cream on the base of your toenails. Use a pumice stone to scrub your skin while the cream softens the dead skin. You can also use a foot file instead of a pumice stone. This will remove the rough, dry, and dead skin. You can return your feet to the warm water after doing this. Dry your feet with a towel.

5. Moisturize your feet with lotion or any heavy moisturizing cream. Additionally, you can find heel creams with shea butter, which would keep your heels fresh and clean. You can massage your feet, ankles, and calf muscles for about 10 minutes.

6. After moisturizing, you can polish your nails with your choice of nail polish color. Apply a base coat first, then add a transparent coat afterward. After letting it dry, carefully apply a second layer of nail polish. Allow it to dry.

7. Clean up all the instruments used for a pedicure by properly sanitizing them.
