Couscous is a pasta dish many of us mistaken for grain. It has a rice-like appearance but in a tinnier form.

It is a North Africam delicacy that has slowly but surely found a home for itself among Nigerian cuisine.

Fruit, vegetables, and meats are all used in couscous, making it an excellent main or side dish that can please just about any palette! Not only can it be a side or main dish, it is also used in soups and salads.

To make a dish of couscous for your enjoyment, you will need

– 1.5 cups Couscous

– 1.5 Cups chicken or beef stock


– 2 table spoons olive oil

– 2 cups freshly chopped vegetables (Onion, tomatoes, red & green peppers, mushrooms and spring onions)

– ½ teaspoon red or black pepper

– ½ teaspoon salt

– ½ cube magi

– ½ teaspoon pepper flakes *optional
