It’s no secret that Nigerians love their Web TV shows just as much as they love Soap Operas and Cable TV.
Just take the likes of Skinny Girl In Transit, Rumour Has It, This Is It, The Men’s Club and others into consideration, and you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about.
Well, filmmakers are clearly latching on to this, as a new web series pops up every minute, with the latest being the hilarious and mysterious, Flat 3B.
The series which was, co-written and co-directed by acclaimed Nigerian TV showrunner, Victor Sanchez Aghahowa will be shown as a three-episode-per-season-anthology, released weekly.
The first season sees Nneka, (Linda Ejiofor) in a bit of a pickle, as she wakes up, stressed and hungover in a strange apartment with a good looking stranger (Mawuli Gavor).
Trying to figure out how she got there and how to get out, she discovers that they are locked in the flat, and have no means of escaping.
Recall that Ihuoma and Mawuli played the roles of Dolapo and Franklyn in Ndani TV’s “Rumour Has It”. Filled with super tense yet hilarious scenes, we’re definitely arrested by this series and are excited to see how the story progresses. The first two episodes are now available on YouTube, while the finale will be released next week.
