Popular Nigerian video jockey and actress, Moet Abebe, has asserted that marriage is a “scam” and that women only enter marriage as a result of societal pressure.
She said this during a recent conversation with prominent media figure Chude Jideonwo.
Moet disclosed that she had been engaged but had broken it off because her fiancé was abusing her.
The actress claimed that, despite never having been married, her belief that marriage is a scam is based on her experiences. She said, “Marriage is a scam. Women only do it because of the pressure of the society.
“If someone is so particular about something, maybe the person is coming from a place of knowledge or experience. I mean, they say experience is the best teacher.
