1. African Women Power Network (AWP)

This is one of the fore platforms of African female entrepreneurs and it was founded by Mary Olushoga. The NGO has many summits and training for women in all stages and walks of their lives.

2. Female in Nigeria (FIN)

Female In Nigeria was started by Lola Omolola in 2015 and currently boasts of over 200,000 people in its online community. It is an online space where women can go and be open with their concerns and stories. It was created after the #BeingFemaleInNigeria trend went viral on Twitter.

3. Kudirat Initiative for Democracy (KIND Nigeria)


This NGO was founded by Hafsat Abiola Costello in 1997 and currently has offices in Lagos, East Elmhurst, and New York. KIND Nigeria is passionate about the advancement of women in social political and economic sectors.

4. Stand To End Rape (STER Nigeria)

Stand To End Rape is a Nigerian organization founded by Oluwaseun Ayodeji Osowobi. Its goal is to end all instances of sexual harassment in Nigeria through social media and real life sensitization and advocacy.

5. She Leads Africa

She Lead Africa was founded by two inspiring women, Yasmin Belo-Osagie and Afua Osei. It is an organization that gives women techniques and mechanisms to succeed in business and in life generally.

6. WAAW Foundation

WAAW Foundation was founded by Dr. Unoma Okorafor in 2007. WAAW is an acronym for Working to Advance Science and Technology Education for African Women. They host summer camps for school girls and have Science and technology scholarships to promote the inclusion of women in science and technology fields.
