1. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a revolutionary Nigerian Writer and Feminist who is popular for her works of fiction and her TED speeches on Feminism and Nigeria. She was born on the 15th of September, 1977 in Enugu, Nigeria.
Her books Purple Hibiscus, Half Of A Yellow Sun, The Thing Around Your Neck and Americanah has won notable awards like the Orange Book Prize, Commonwealth Writers Prize For Fiction amongst others.
Her TED Speech, We Should All Be Feminists was sampled by Musical Icon Beyonce at the beginning of her song, Flawless.
She is married to Nigerian Doctor, Ivara Esege and is the mother.

2. Nnedi Okoroafor
Nnedimma Nkemdili Okoroafor is a Nigerian-American Fantasy and Science Fiction Writer. She was born on the 8th of April, 1974.
She writes books for adults and children and some of her books include, Akata Witch, Akata Warrior, Who Fears Death, Zahrah the Windseeker, Long Juju Man, The Shadow Speaker, amongst others.
Her books have won awards like the Wole Soyinka Prize For Literature for Zahrah and the Windseeker in 2008, Best Novel in the World Fantasy Award for Who Fears Death in 2011, amongst other awards from Stephen King, Commonwealth and other bodies.
3. Sefi Atta
Sefi Atta is a Nigerian-American award-winning author and playwright. She was born to Iyabo and Abdul-Aziz Atta in January 1964. She was born in Lagos, Nigeria to a family of five children.
She is famous for her plays, novels and short stories. Her fictional books are Everything Good Will Come, Swallow and A Bit Of Difference. She has won the Wole Soyinka Prize for literature and was on the shortlist for the Macmillian Writers Prize For Literature and The Caine Prize For African Writing.
4. Ayobami Adebayo
Ayobami Adebayo is a Nigerian Writer who was born in Lagos, Nigeria on the 29th of January 1988. She has a BA and MA in English and Literature from Obafemi Awolowo University.
Her debut novel Stay With Me was published by Canongate in 2017. She was listed in The Financial Times as one of the bright stars of Nigerian Literature.
5. Akwaeke Emezi
Akwaeke Emezi is a Nigerian and Tamil Writer and Video artist born in Umuahia, Nigeria. She was born in 1987 to her Nigerian Doctor father and Tamil mother. She has two siblings.
Her debut novel Freshwater was published in 2018 to wide critical acclaim because of the controversial topics it covered. She was a recipient of the Miles Morland Scholarship and won the Commonwealth African Writer’s Prize for her short story, Who Is Like God?
Her sister Yagazie Emezi is a Nigerian documentary photographer.
