Here Is Why This 23-Year-Old Lady Remains Happy Despite Being Born With HIV


Nobody likes being sick, talk more of living with a disease that has no cure.

A lady named  Saidy Brown is showing that you can be HIV positive but you shouldn’t let that stop you from living your life.

Saidy who is from South Africa, the African country with the highest population of HIV posted on Twitter that even with her positive status, she is still living well and standing.

Saidy Brown was born with HIV/AIDS but didn’t know until the age of 14. She kept it to herself for years and lived in . Saidy decided to be open about her status with her Facebook and Twitter friends about her status and since then she decided to battle the disease and the stigma.

She said,

“I want people to know that if I can do it, they can do it. I’m being the motivation I needed but didn’t get when I was 14. I’m trying to be a like a friend to those people living with HIV, and also show HIV-negative people that we are humans and we can live with this virus.”


Saidy’s words gets love and support from friends and has helped to increase awareness in South Africa. She is living her life to the fullest including being in a relationship and having normal intereactions with people.
