Social media influencer and entrepreneur Tomike Adeoye has lost her mother at the age of 64.
The 29-year-old, who was recently appointed the MD/CEO of Light Hill Studio, took to her Instagram page to announce the sad news, revealing that she died on the 19th of February.
Condolences have been pouring in from followers and fans alike. Sharing a video collage of her mother, she wrote:
A tribute to my mother, Iya Mii Mojirayo Olayinka Alayande nee Fakehinde.
It’s almost a month since you left me.
19th of February remains unforgettable
In the middle of praises and worship being raised by us to your maker, you transitioned to glory!
Oh boy, I’ve been stronger than you could ever imagine! Taking each day in its stride.
I can’t help but wonder who will be my human alarm that won’t sleep cos Tomike needs to leave the house at 5am?
Who will call me at 1 am to find out when my event will be over?
Who will say, “even if it’s 2am, wake me up once you get home, I want to see you”
Who will share all my wins on their WhatsApp status day&night? No win was ever too small! You will shareeeeee!😅
Who will go overseas&return with 2-3 boxes filled with clothes, shoes, snacks, pj’s for Tomike&Tosin?
Who will distribute my tithe to over 20 churches diligently every month?
Who will fast and pray on my matter like their life depends on it?
Who will borrow the entire nation money?😂
Who will binge my videos 24/7 and not get tired of them?
Who will screenshot my typos when I post and send asap because a Linguistics lecturer’s daughter must never be caught with typos!
Who will fight me over “little things”? Oh how we quarreled every two market days😂
Who will comfort me in the most hardcore fashion? Talk about sorry with a sprinkle of “you better wipe your tears, pick yourself up& get to work”.
Who will disturb me for video collages like this? Oh how you loved these videos whenever I merged them for special occasions 🥹
Who will handle everything about Tomike Adeoye Foundation?? You ensured work continued despite my busy schedule.
Who will sort out my grocery list down to washing and blending my pepper?? I never knew the individual prices of things cos you always took care of that!
You ensured we lacked NOTHING!!
Mama Omobonike, my mother, my friend, grandmother to my children! The strongest woman I’ve ever met! I can’t believe I’m typing this but.. till we meet again mummy… your baby T loves you so so much!! All that I am today, I owe it to God and you!!
Continue to rest in the bosom of the Almighty.
