Nigerian wedding designers have always flourished over the years with their amazing designs. We’re extremely proud of their excellent work with what we’ve seen on social media and the internet at large.

These wedding designers never get the dresses wrong whenever it comes to tying the knot.

Here are the top Nigerian wedding dress designers:

1. Mai Atafo

Before leaving Guinness Nigeria, he created his own brand. He called it ‘Mai Inspired’.

He has designed dresses for women in the entertained industry, including Adesua Etomi.

2. April by Kunbi

Olakunbi Oyelese has groomed this fashion label to create custom wear and ready to wear apparel, jewellery and accessories.

3. House of Deola

 

Deola Sagoe hails from Ondo State, Nigeria. She became the first black woman to present a collection at AltaRoma, Rome’s celebrated fashion week, back in 2004.


Before she starting her fashion label, her mother owned tailoring business which Deola joined to satisfy the new marketplace.

In 2016,  her first recognition was the dress she made for Aigbe, which she wore to the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards. Folashade won her the best dressed award at the event. She went ahead to design wedding dresses which are glamorous.

5. Fablane by Derin

Derin Fabikun began her clothing line in 2009, when she was 19 years old. She was determined to push her career forward by creating several designs, including wedding dresses.

6. Toju Foyeh

Toju Foyeh is an exquisite designer who designed actress, Adesuwa Etomi’s traditional wedding dress.

In 2012, Toju won the Designer of the Year plaque at the Future Awards. Also, in 2015, her brand showcased at the Lagos Fashion and Design and the recognition has been pouring in since then.
