Mama Burna bet awards

Burna Boy’s mother, Bose Ogulu, wowed everyone in the black community with her acceptance speech at the BET Awards 2019 after receiving Burna Boy’s award for best International act.

Also known as Mama Burna, as Ne-Yo calls her, she inspires many blacks out there, both in Africa and beyond with her words on being African.

The most striking part of her acceptance speech that addresses Africans all over the world is:

“Every black person should please remember that you were Africans before you became anything else”

Since the aim of the Black Entertainment Television (BET) is to promote black excellence, Bose Ogulu deserves every praise she’s getting right now.

Okay Africa has also named her as one of the top 100 women on the magazine. Burna Boy is such a lucky son to have a mother like that. No wonder he never lets go of his true African roots.

Burna Boy’s new award has got people comparing him with other artistes, at the same time praising him. Mama Burna is certainly proud of her boy, and we can’t get enough of this joy of motherhood.
