BBNaija 2018 Housemate, Cee-C Redesigns Her ‘Efik’ Saturday Outfit And It Has Got Everyone People Talking

BBNaija 2018 Housemate, Cee-C brought on the wrath of most viewers when she redesigned the Calabar traditional outfit given to her by Payporte for the Saturday night party.

As the custom every Saturday, Payporte, the major sponsor of the show made different cultural attires for the housemates and Cee-c got that of a Calabar princess. Rather than appreciate the cultural beauty of the dress, Cee-c condemned the outfit and redesigned it to a crop top.

The housemate, who is currently trending for her action, was heard criticising the style of the multi-layered floor length dress, tagging it “a waste of time and cloth by the tailor”.

Official sponsors of the ongoing Big Brother Naija show, Payporte, have expressed their displeasure at the comments made by the housemate about her party dress before she altered it on Saturday.

They took to their official Instagram handle @payporte and wrote: “PayPorte is very displeased by the comments made by @ceec_official about the outfit given to her.

“We take our time to style all housemates with respect to the theme of every Saturday party. We consider this a disrespect to our brand and consider this offensive.”

Also, award-winning stylist, Toyin Lawani who is the Creative Director for Payporte took to her Instagram page to weigh in on the issue.

She wrote:

“As the creative Director Of @payporte Everyone expected Cee C’s dress to Be designed by me Via @elegantebytiannah styling as usual, well to everyone tagging that I made the dress and I should feel insulted she cut it,payporte gives other designers the chance to grow and get known,so we do a mix every time or payporte themselves come up with the looks a times.

Unfortunately I didn’t design that dress,so you can stop the endlessly tagging and secondly I don’t care what the dress looks like,we go with the theme of the party every week to come up with looks for the house mates,you are to wear what you are given, she’s extremely wrong for ripping the teams hardwork apart and disrespecting that tribe like that,she doesn’t even look the part at al ,the dress is not meant to be a fashion accessory,it’s a role which she’s meant to play the part, simple as abc. It’s a cultural dress for christ sake.”
