Dakore Egbuson-Akande is a Nigerian actress, producer, singer, and humanitarian.

Known for her signature dreadlocks look, she has featured in Nollywood movies alongside other actresses like Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Stephanie Okereke Linus, etc.

Dakore is a force of nature, and here are some things you should know about her.

1. Dakore Omobola Egbuson-Akande was born on the 14th of October, 1978, in Lagos State

2. She hails from the Sagbama Local Government area of Bayelsa State, Nigeria, and is of Yoruba and Ijaw heritage.

3. She is the first child of her siblings and the elder sister of actor Timini Egbuson.

4. She attended Corona Secondary School, Lagos, and Federal Government Girls College, Bauchi, for her secondary education.

5. She studied Mass Communication at the University of Lagos but dropped out due to frequent ASUU strikes.

6. Dakore started her career as a vocalist and dancer in a band that once opened for Roy Hargrove at a London event.

7. Her journey into acting began when renowned producer Emem Isong cast her in the movie Silent Tears in 2000.

8. She has acted in over 50 Nollywood movies and TV shows, including notable films like Fifty (2015), Chief Daddy (2018), Isoken, Castle & Castle (2019), The Set Up (2019), and Reel Love (2025).
