7 Facts About The Gorgeous Eku Edewor You Probably Don’t Know


Eku Edewor born as Georgina Chloe Eku Edewor-Thorley is the British Nigerian TV host we have come to associate with the popular Africa Magic show, ’53 Extra’.

This ethereal beauty who is also an actress and a model is a talented beauty whose love for her work is clearly evident in how much passion she displays while doing it.

On Monday, December 18, she turned a year old and these are 7 things you probably don’t know about her

1.  Eku has an identical twin sister

Eku was born in Portland, London with her twin sister, Kessiana to a Nigerian mum, Juliana Edewor, an interior designer, restaurateur, and art collector originally from Delta State and a British dad, Hugh Thorley.

2. She is an alumnus of Warwick University in England

She completed her honours degree in English Literature and Theatre Studies from Warwick University in England in 2008. She also completed an acting course from the New York Film Academy in 2009.


3. Eku first came into limelight through a reality show

 

Eku’s first television appearance was in 2007, when she competed in the reality show Britain’s Next Top Model under the name “Georgina Edewor-Thorley”.

4. She has had several movie roles in Nollywood.

Edewor starred as Sade Coker in the television series The Island, which was shot in 2012 . For her first major film role, she played principal character Sapphire in the 2013 romantic comedy film Flower Girl.

5. She has worked in a restaurant before

In 2010, after the loss of her stepfather, Edewor returned to Nigeria to work in her mother’s restaurant, the Chardonnay Restaurant and Bar, so that her mother could focus on her career as an interior designer

6. Eku has a cute little daughter

She has a lovely daughter with her fiance, Chini Odogwu who is a photographer/artist/businessman and son to billionaire business man Chief Sunny Odogwu.

7. She believes in finding one’s self

Eku thinks it is very important for anyone to always remember your roots – where you’re from, your culture and their significance in your life while creating your own identity. According to her – “you should never abscond from who you are because it creates a different type of displacement.“
