The rainy seasons are pretty much in full gear and if your wedding date falls during the wet months of June, and July you need to get yourself prepared so you can have a successful wedding no matter the weather condition.
Having your wedding during the rainy season can be quite challenging yet with advanced preparation you can pull it off.
Here are 7 tips on how to cope with rain on your wedding day.
1. Have an indoor wedding
The rainy season is not the best time to have an outdoor wedding. Play it safe and keep the wedding ceremony indoors. This will save you and your wedding guests a lot of stress.
2. Let both venues be close to each other
If you intend to do a white wedding in a church followed by a reception on the same day, try to ensure that the venues close to one another, to avoid being stuck in traffic due to heavy rain and flooding.
3. Umbrellas are essential
Umbrellas are not only good props for a wedding shoot but they are also essential during a rainy wedding day. So, ensure you have umbrellas handy for your guests and also yourself. No one wants the bride dripping wet on her big day right?

4. Ensure your makeup artist and hairstylist are on standby
Predicting that the water would never touch your face and hair is almost impossible. If possible, have your makeup artist and hairstylist around for the whole day, so that if a funny situation like the rain touching your face happens, you are covered
5.Have a change of shoes handy for yourself and your bridal party
You would not want to ruin your lovely wedding shoes so have a change of shoes handy preferably jelly shoes. Provide for your bridesmaids as well you could all make a cute photo of it too!
6. Towels are essential as well
Towels are also necessary to wipe yourself off when moving from the church to the reception area.
7. Have a positive mind and relax
Regardless of the rain, remember that you are about to spend the rest of your life, with someone you love. Maintain a positive vibe, relax and have fun because it’s your special day.
