8 Things To Know About The Recently Crowned 2021 Miss World, Karolina Bielawska


Poland’s Karolina Bielawska won the Miss World 2021 crown at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico on 17th March 2022.

The final of the contest was scheduled for December 16 at the Puerto Rico Coliseum, but it had to be postponed after 38 positive COVID-19 cases were recorded between candidates and staff.

Controversy sparked during the gala due to legal problems between the organisers and the fact that no Latina candidate made it to the Top 12.

“When I heard my name, I was surprised, I still can’t believe it, I feel honoured,” said Bielawska after being crowned by Jamaican Toni-Ann Singh, who won the 2019 edition.

She becomes the second Polish woman in history to win the crown.

Here are a few things to know about her.

1. Karolina Bielawska was born April 11, 1999, in Lodz, Poland.


2. Her mother is a professor at the Lodz University of Technology’s Faculty of Management and Production Engineering.

3. She bagged a Bachelor’s degree from Lodz University of Technology, Poland in 2021 and she is presently studying for her master’s degree in Business Studies.

4. She won the award of ‘Best Graduate’ of the Faculty of Management and Production Engineering at the LodzUniversity of Technology.  Her thesis, ‘The Image of Miss Polonia’  received the award of ‘Best Thesis’.

5. She aspires to be a TV host and motivational speaker. She also aims to pursue a Ph.D.

6. She was the winner of Miss Polonia in 2019

7. She is a social worker and she volunteers with a non-profit organization called “Zupa na Pietryne Vietryne”.

8. She is fluent in both Polish and English Language.
