Miss Universe Nigeria 2024: Meet The 25 Contestants

25 contestants are set to compete as the Miss Universe Nigeria returns for the 2024 edition.

Speaking during a press conference, the National Director of the Miss Universe Nigeria, Ben Murray-Bruce disclosed that this year’s Miss Universe Nigeria would be the second edition and the 38th edition of Silverbird hosting beauty pageant since 1986.

He also said the pageant is now open for married women, single women, and divorced ladies indicating the competition’s diversity and inclusivity.

Miss Imo, Mitchel Ugochi Ihezue who was the winner of the first edition in 2023 went on to represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador and is now married.

Recall that new entrant, Chidinma Adetshina had received an invitation to participate following her withdrawal from the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant over identity and eligibility issues.

Themed ‘Digital Divas’, the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant grand finale is set to take place, on August 31, 2024, at the Eko Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos. The contestants would be in Camp at the Festival Hotel, Festac where they will undergo rigorous rehearsals and training. This year’s winner will receive ₦10 million in cash and other prizes, indicating the pageant’s dedication to empowering women.

The winner of Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November while the runner-up will have the opportunity to participate in the Miss Supranational pageant.

The voting process has officially begun allowing the public to cast their votes for their favourite contestant as many times as they wish. The process will remain open until the eve of the event on August 30, 2024.

The top three contestants with the highest number of fan votes will be fast-tracked to a spot in the Top 10.
