While you prepare for your first date as a single girl, there are some things to avoid doing.
You get a perfect dress, your hair and nails done, and ensure you look your best for your date. You step out believing you probably nailed this one, but when the evening rolls out, it feels like this guy, who has been pestering you to go on a date with you the whole time, does not seem so interested after all. Where could you have gone wrong?
Apart from getting your hair and nails done, there are certain rules you should follow that may probably make him show up on your doorstep the next day.
You are not allowed to say or do certain things on your first date with that guy. Here are some of them:
1. Turning up late
It’s not cute. Showing up on time won’t make you less attractive. He might even be impressed.
2. Taking a friend along
Never go with your friend on a date with your man, especially on a first date. Don’t. It is a total turn-off.
3. Talking down on other women
You don’t have to say bad things about other women to make him more interested or see you as smart. This will most likely turn him off.
4. Talking about your ex
Do not talk about your ex-boyfriend; he probably has enough on his plate already. This will send him away faster than you had imagined.
5. Talking badly about the restaurant
Sometimes, women can be very picky and have a different opinion from men. Don’t tell him the restaurant/hotel he took you to was lame, at least not yet. Save that for your best friend.

6. Talking about marriage plans
On a first date, kindly do not ask him when he plans on getting married. Men sometimes dread the marriage topic on a first date.
7. Talking about your issues
Do not act like your goal in life is to render him bankrupt. Eat like the lady you are, with proper manners. In one sentence, do not eat too much. Do not act like you are allergic to food, either. It won’t make you look adorable. Also, resist the urge to talk about issues you may currently be going through.
