All The Amazing Wonder Women That Were Featured In Davido’s Latest Hit Single


It looks like we’re about to end 2018 on a great note as a number of accomplished, brilliant and beautiful African women have been brought together to feature in the visuals to Davido ’s latest single titled “Wonder Woman”.

The video which was released last week Friday, December 7, 2018, is a celebration of Nigeria’s leading women making headway at home and internationally.

There were also some cameo appearances from some of these Nigerian women.  The inclusive video also celebrated his current girlfriend, Chioma and his two baby mamas, Sophia and Amanda.

Here’s a look at all the remarkable wonder women in accordance with their order of appearances in the video.

1. Adetutu “OJ” Alabi

Adetutu’s moving story struck the internet a couple of months ago following her campaign to get noticed by Rihanna and model her makeup brand, Fenty Beauty.

Her goal to get noticed by Rihanna came to fruition as the star followed her on Instagram. Hopefully, her dream of modelling for Fenty Beauty gets realised.

2. Hauwa Ojeifo

Hauwa Ojeifo is a financial analyst, life coach and fashion designer, popularly known for her active role in mental health awareness.

Hauwa’s passion for raising mental health awareness particularly for women saw her create her foundation, She Writes Woman.

Her passion and diligence definitely paid off as she was one of the recipients of Queen Elizabeth’s Queen’s Young Leaders Award and the first-ever Generation Change Award at the 2018 MTV Europen Music Awards.

3. Funke Bucknor- Obruthe

Funke Bucknor-Obruthe is a Nigerian entrepreneur and lawyer. She is the founder and CEO of Zapphaire Events and is regarded as one of Nigeria’s pioneering event planners.

She is a successful and accomplished events manager with more than a decade’s wealth of experience behind her.

4. Uche Pedro

Uche Pedro is the brains behind the online magazine, Bella Naija. She is a writer, blogger, social media expert and businesswoman. She built her empire online and what started as a hobby has become one of Nigeria’s leading online wedding magazines.

5. Omawumi Megbele

Omawumi Megbele, known by her stage name, Omawum is a Nigerian Singer, Song Writer and Actress. Her rise to stardom came in 2007 when she emerged as the runner-up on West African Idols, a reality TV show part of the Idols franchise.

Ever since Omawumi keeps waxing stronger in every aspect of the entertainment industry.

6. Abisoye Ajayi-Akinfolarin

Abisoye Ajayi-Akinfolarin is a Nigerian women’s rights activist. She is the founder of Pearls Africa Youth Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization aimed at educating young girls in under-served areas in Nigeria with technology skills.

Her remarkable work landed her a feature as Nigeria’s first CNN Hero.

7. Chioma Ude


Chioma is a successful businesswoman and founder of Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), one of the most prestigious film festivals in Africa.

Fisayo Longe is a fashion, lifestyle and travel blogger at  Mirror Me. She also has her own affordable womenswear clothing brand KAI Collective.

16. Amanda

Amanda is the CEO of a beauty company, LaBelle Lash and mother to Davido’s second daughter, Hailey.

17. Sophia Momodu

Sophia, mother of Davido’s first daughter, Imade, an entrepreneur and businesswoman
