2018 has really been an exciting year for women all over the world and as we keep advocating for female empowerment and equality it’s always a thing of joy when Nigerian women do us proud.
That’s why we are super excited that 4 of our own made it to the annual BBC 100 Women list.
The BBC “100 women” list is a yearly compilation that honors women from all over the world who are making a difference in their communities. It also celebrates inspiring and influential women who have used their positions to spark actions in the review year.
Ranging in age from 15 to 94, and from more than 60 countries, the BBC 100 Women list includes leaders, trailblazers and everyday heroes.
In 2017, two Nigerian women – musician, Tiwa Savage and tech prodigy, Anne-Marie Imafidon made the list. Perhaps in 2019 we just might triple the number.
This year, the list has amazing women ranging in age from 15 to 94 and from over 60 countries. We’re very proud of our very own women who made the list. They are Abisoye Ajayi-Akinfolarin, Amina Mohammed, Bola Tinubu and Chidera Eggerue.
1. Abisoye Ajayi-Akinfolarin
