Nigeria’s Kiki Mordi Wins 2020 MTV EMA Gen Change For Being At The Frontline Of The End SARS Protest
Nigeria’s Kiki Mordi has been announced as one of the winners of the 2020 MTV EMA Gen Change alongside four others.
The investigative journalist was one of the women at the forefront of the EndSARS protest.
She recently got an Emmy nomination for her viral BBC African Eye documentary exposing sex for grades in universities.
Announcing the news on her page, she wrote:
Excited to announce myself as one this year’s recipient of the @mtvema Generation Change Award
It’s been an exhausting time for us as a country & it’s easy to slip into a constant state of anger & exhaustion. But I’m happy that the noise that we make in our corner of the world

She is also a member of the Feminist Coalition Group, the women group on the frontlines of the EndSars campaign.
