Nothing can be more depressing than dating a man tied to his mother’s apron strings; you will constantly be at loggerheads with him over his choices. Unfortunately, mama’s boys are not easy to spot until some times it is too late.
Be it in his decision making and character, a man should be able to stand for himself and his woman. When a man is unable to do this because he is still inordinately attached to his mum, then there will be issues.
Being close to his mum is not a wrong thing, in fact studies show that men who are close to their mothers treat women better,but in the case where you constantly have to remind him that you are his lady-love and not his mum, you might need to watch out.

1. He compares your cooking
A typical mama’s boy believes nobody can cook better than his mum. When your man starts comparing your cooking to his mum’s and says her own is far better, then he is displaying one solid trait of a mama’s boy.
2. He takes sides with her
Another pointer that your man might be a mama’s body is when he sides with her even when she is wrong. A man like that can see no wrong in his mum.
3. She does his laundry
This presupposes the fact that he still leaves under the same roof with her. No man how much she might love him, if he truly is a man he should be able to clean up after himself and do his laundry.
4. He acts like a little boy in her presence
If your man’s mother shows up and all traces of adulthood vanishes, then he is definitely a mama’s boy.
5. He has a guilt complex
Mama’s boys are trained from a young age to bend to their mother’s every whim when as an adult they have to do something that goes against their mother’s wishes, they go on a guilt trip.
6. They talk to each other several times a day
If your man and his mum feel the need to constantly check on each other when there are no other reasons beyond just saying hi or asking what either one has eaten, then there is a high possibility that your man is a mama’s boy.
