Catfish Peppersoup Tutorial

Catfish Peppersoup is not a delicacy really particular to any tribe. It is one spicy dish that almost everybody loves. Not only is it delicious, the spices used for the peppersoup mix are also very beneficial to the body.

However, as much as women love this delicacy, some cannot prepare it while some do not know the adequate taste and ingredients.

To make a great dish of catfish peppersoup, check the recipe below


1 whole catfish (cut and cleaned)
1 teaspoon peppersoup spice mix (ingredient below if you will like to make your own mix)
1 tablespoon oil of choice
1 cube maggi
salt (to taste)
stock or water (2cups)
utazi or bitter leaf (a pinch)

Place cleaned fish in a pot, add in some stock or water, set the pot on medium heat. Add in the pepper soup mix, salt, maggi, oil and utazi. You can also sprinkle a little scented leaf and small potions of thinly sliced Ata rodo.
Cover and simmer for 25mins

Equal portions of :

allspice seed,
anise pepper,
anise seeds,
coriander seeds,
cumin seeds,
dried ginger,
fennel seeds,
tamarind pulp and
ground pepper.
