The main purpose of carrying a bag is to ensure that you have all that you need for the day ahead. For us women, there are a little more things that should always be in our bags so that we do not have any unfortunate incidents that we are not prepared for.
Granted, we cannot foresee everything that is bound to happen but there are some occurrences that we can still prepare for by equipping ourselves and properly packing our bag.

Here are 12 essential items every woman should have in her bag at all times.
1. Identification
It is important that you have some form of identification with you at all times. This would help you to avoid unfortunate run-ins with law enforcement agents or if you need to go do a transaction that requires you to identify yourself.
2. Charging devices
Charging devices like your phone charger, USB cord and/or power bank should always be in your bag. This would keep you from being stranded with a low battery or a dead phone. Always endeavor to charge your phone at home and when packing your bag, don’t forget your power bank or charger.
3. Hand Sanitiser
The amount of bacteria we come in contact with on a day to day basis is overwhelming. From exchanging currency to holding hand railings and even shaking people. Ensure that you carry your hand sanitizer and that you are using it to keep your hands clean.
4. Safety Pins
Wardrobe mishaps happen when you least expect it, and it may not even happen to you. It may happen to your best friend at work or your coursemate. Ensure that you carry medium sized safety pins so as to be prepared and have a short-term solution to a fashion mishap.

5. USB Drive
A USB or Flash Drive is a very important item to have in your bag, especially if you are a student. It will help you to carry important documents compactly. It would also help you to collect all those cool movies you’ve been wanting to watch.
6. Breath Mint
If you aren’t talking throughout the day or eating, chances are your mouth will smell a little funky. You can easily remedy this by having breath mints or minty chewing gums in your bag. This would keep you from having “breath insecurity”.
7. Tissues
This one should go without saying. Tissues are a must have because they are necessary for a wide variety of reasons. For toilet business, for sneezing, wiping dirty chairs and surfaces. You name it.
8. A Healthy Snack
This would keep you from keeling over in hunger. sometimes our busy schedules keep us from being able to eat before leaving the home. Do yourself a favor and carry with you a healthy snack like nuts or fruits like apples or dates that are easy to carry but pack an energetic punch.

9. Stationery
Have you ever gone to the bank and had to beg someone for their biro? If you have, then you know why it is imperative to carry your own stationery. This would save you time, money and having to make unnecessary conversation. Also, make sure you carry a small jotter for jotting ideas and to-dos.
10. Sanitary Pad
Aunt Flo can sometimes come unexpectedly, even when you are using an ovulation calendar to track your period. Make sure you always have two pieces (not packs) of sanitary pads in your bag to avoid any accidents.
