Tips Needed To Have A Smooth Blind Date

First dates, especially a blind date, can be very nerve-racking for many reasons. To beat this, you have to look for opportunities in it and lower your standards a bit.

A blind date is a date with someone you have never met in person, having only chatted online or talked on the phone.

If you are going on a blind date soon, here are some useful tips for you:

 1. Be open-minded

You can’t know everything about a person up front, so don’t be quick to judge. Keep in mind that chemistry can develop, people can grow on you, and some are anxious on dates. As long as you’re not a total recluse, you’re certainly capable of enjoying almost any human being—you just have to keep an open mind and have zero expectations.

2. Try something new

When two people share a novel experience, it bonds them. Ever heard that said? It is absolutely true. When on a blind date, if you are not careful, it could go sour, and if you play your game right, it could turn out to be a wonderful experience. Be open to trying new things, foods, and places.

3. Use humour

Laughter is the best medicine for a date (good or bad). This is not to say that you should openly laugh at your date or something close to that. All we are saying is that you should try to laugh a bit more. Do not be too stiff.

4. Be open to learning

If you don’t care to learn anything about this guy, what can you learn from him? Can you get some business advice? Industry gossip? Maybe he can even fix the settings on your camera. Use this means to get to know him better.

5. Be ready to tolerate

If the guy is repulsive, uninteresting, and/or extremely unintelligent, try not to sit and stare, as this is totally rude. You’ll fixate on whatever it is that’s bugging you. Get up and get him involved in an activity you enjoy most. Get talking and ask questions. In all you do, be tolerant.
